Home Sweet Home

We live in a cape-style house at the end of a cul-de-sac. Its quiet like the country but no more than 5 minutes from everything. We look forward to taking trips to the community pool and riding bikes on the sidewalks throughout our neighborhood. We are also located near an elementary school and park, it would be a great place to spend the afternoon playing on the playground, taking a walk, or flying kites.

It’s all about Family

Our families are very loving, a little loud, funny, and supportive of us and of our hopes to adopt. We live nearby to an assortment of close family, extended relatives, and friends.

J is an only child, and his parents are ready to graduate to dotting grandparents. His grandma was born in the Philippines and grew up in Japan. Grandma lives with J’s Parents. She taught elementary school for over 30 years, and fostered over 15 children. J’s Mom works as a master esthetician, she is very spirited, funny, and enjoys crafting. J’s Dad is retired military, was a jazz musician, and owns his own business that helps curate preserving history. They have been married for 40 years. J’s parents are about an hour away and we see them often. They enjoy spending time with our nieces and nephews and treat them as Grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with them doing things like crafts, taking them fishing, and playing board games.

Valerie’s Mom lives about 10 minutes away. Her Mom is a retired children’s librarian. She enjoys sewing, gardening, and playing the piano. Valerie’s dad passed away a few years ago. Valerie’s dad owned his own business and was a carpenter/repair/handy person, and he enjoyed working on vehicles. Valerie is the youngest of three daughters. Her older sister lives in Colorado and teaches english as a second language at the elementary level. Her husband is a history professor, and their son is in high school. Valerie’s middle sister lives about 5 minutes away. Her middle sister is a licensed registered nurse, and is currently homeschooling. Her husband works in information technology. They have 7 children between the ages of 6-20. We love living so close to them and see them a couple of times a month! We enjoy celebrating holidays together, going to the pool, having family meals, movie nights, game nights, or going to a park together.

There’s always room for one more!
